Manuel develops statistical methods and software for longitudinal data, with a focus on nonlinear mixed-effects models, federated learning, and scalable implementations in Julia, R, and Python. His work bridges classical statistical modeling and modern machine learning to enable robust inference in complex, privacy-sensitive biomedical data. His application domains include biomedical research, computational life sciences, and sports analytics. He holds degrees from the University of Hohenheim and the University of Bonn and is currently a PhD student in Mathematics in the group of Jan Hasenauer. He was a visiting scholar in the research groups of Elisa Sicuri and Juan Ramon Gonzalez and has served as Head of Statistical Development for DataSHIELD. He also brings practical football expertise, having worked as a local academy scout for 1. FC Köln, and is currently pursuing his UEFA B coaching license.
